π£ October 2025 Rust Update β Meta Shift Hey folks π This monthβs update is a game-changer β introducing the Blueprint Fragment system to shake up progression, along with puzzle reworks, loot shuffles, and tons of quality-of-life changes. Thereβs a lot to unpack, so hereβs whatβs new this wipe on |US EAST|JamesGaming|3X|PvE|RaidableBases|NPC|: π§© Blueprint Fragment Progression (Experimental Phase 1) Rustβs progression has gotten too fast. This change slows things down and brings players back to contesting monuments β even in PvE, this adds a sense of pacing and value to monument loot. Workbench 1: No change Workbench 2: Requires 5x Basic Blueprint Fragments Workbench 3: Requires 5x Advanced Blueprint Fragments π Where to find fragments: Basic Fragments: Green puzzle rooms (1x) Blue card puzzles near red card (2x) Mid/Large Monuments Airdrops Advanced Fragments: Hackable crates (guaranteed) Elite crates (10% chance) Top-tier Monuments: Launch, Tunnels, Silo, Oilrigs, Labs Events: Cargo & Chinook Convert 20 Basic β 1 Advanced Scrap cost for WBs is reduced to compensate. Clans may build economies from extra fragments; solos must work for theirs. πΊοΈ Monument Reworks β New green puzzles: Dome, Ferry Terminal, Radtown π οΈ Dome now has a recycler π Monument Loot Shuffle: Loot crates moved/rebalanced across nearly every monument π― Hackable/Elite Crates: Better loot, less junk π₯ New Features Crosshair Customization: Style, color, spacing, outline, and even share codes! Spike Trap: Slows and damages players β craftable for 80 wood Drone Storage: Can now carry & drop a stack of any item (including live explosives π) Shore Crates: Random beach loot for fresh spawns Bed Skins: Workshop support added! Rotatable Paintings & Signs before placement Bunnyhopping Bikes! Right-click for a small jump β stamina based π― Combat & Meta Changes Nuclear Missile Silo: Now requires RED card. 3 elite crates added. Advanced BPFs spawn here. Chainsaw: Always starts first try now Projectile Invalids: Major fixes to reduce false negatives PvP Barricade Nerf: Stack size: 3 (was 10 β 5 β now 3) Health reduced by 20% π° Mission Buffs Mission rewards significantly increased β more loot, more reason to give them a shot! π§ͺ Modding & Optimization Weβre modded, and Facepunch is finally showing us love: π§° Added modding support for: max health, melee throws, vitals, icons, drone tax, and more π οΈ Workshop UI and painting menu cleaned up π¨ VRAM usage optimized β lower memory usage, better skin streaming π Event notifications (Oil Rig, Cargo, etc.) now play environmental sound instead of pop-ups (can be reverted with ui.monumentnotificationtoasts) π Halloween Incoming ποΈ October 23rd β Mandatory Update Expect spooky wallpapers and themed content. π§Έ Charity Plushies: 100% of proceeds (after fees) go to Ronald McDonald House Charities UK Cancer Research UK Available until October 30th! π§’ Twitch Rivals & Drops ποΈ October 8th β Twitch Rivals: Base Invaders!
